In view of our escalating Covid-19 situation this week and anticipating further escalation, the government has introduced further physical distancing measures for the community, and a specific directive on comprehensive measures to reduce transmission for religious gatherings.

The Archdiocesan COVID-19 Taskforce has noted these developments and there are updates for us.

Postponement of Catechism commencement date.

Dear Parents,
Peace be with you.  We will resume catechetical sessions starting 7 March using Zoom online video conferencing platform.

Guidelines for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Singapore in Tackling the Wuhan Virus Outbreak (31 January 2020)

The Archbishop, in consultation with his Consultors, has decided to suspend all Catechism Classes for children (which includes parish and home catechism, CGS and RCIY) until 1st March, 2020 in view of the Wuhan Coronavirus. This is a precautionary measure to protect the interests of our children.

Sessions time-schedule remains unchanged:

•Level 1 - Level 6 (7 to 12 years old): 4.15pm to 5.30pm.

•Level 7 – Level 9 (13 to 15 years old): 2.30pm to 3.45pm.

Note that the age indication serves as a guide. If your child has missed catechesis and is already Primary 3 and older, you may consider enrolling your child in the Bridging Program on Friday evenings. Please contact bsccatechism@gmail.com for more information.

If your child is already attending our catechetical programme, it is optional to register. Although by filling in the online form, it will serve as an update to our student data as well as acknowledgement of your child's continued attendance with us. Love Offering: $20 per year (to defray materials, utilities costs)

Registration is required for children attending Level 1 (or new registration at any level). Please register for your child via our online form [ www.tinyurl.com/bsccateregistration ]

Alternatively, you may get a hardcopy of the registration form at our church office and pass the hardcopy to the level catechist.
